Here's a guide to what's available to the Knox community.

Community Group Training Program

Knox City Council Community Group Training is a series of free workshops held every year.

The workshops provide activities, programs and services to help people build their capacity and skills in Knox. They are open to:

  • individuals
  • community groups
  • clubs
  • not-for-profit organisations.

This program is for people who:

  • volunteer
  • work for a not-for-profit community group
  • want to start or join a group, like a local club or committee.

Youth services

Knox City Council’s Youth Services Team provides programs, services, and training for young people, as well as:

  • families
  • parents
  • carers
  • schools
  • agencies
  • and others who support young people.

Knox City Council’s Leisure Services Team holds free information sessions for sports and leisure groups.

Early years services groups

Knox City Council’s Family and Children’s Services team train our Early Years Volunteer Committee and Parent Group members, including:

  • kindergarten
  • playgroups
  • childcare
  • specialist support.

People with disabilities

Knox City Council’s Access and Equity Team support access and inclusion for people with a disability and their carers.

We offer:

  • project development
  • project sharing
  • network facilitation
  • partnerships.

We hold community information sessions and workshops throughout the year.

Knox has many local community and neighbourhood houses that offer a great range of affordable programs for people of all ages.

Programs include:
