Permit to discharge fireworks

Before you start

You must be a licensed pyrotechnician with a permit to discharge fireworks on public land within Knox.

This form should be completed by the pyrotechnician contracted for the fireworks display.

What you will need

  • 5-10 minutes to complete this form. You cannot save progress once you start
  • Name of your client, club or organisation
  • Proposed location
  • Proposed dates and times of your fireworks display/s
  • Contact details and ABN
  • Public Liability Insurance certificate (PDF) that shows:
    • at least $20 million coverage, including principal’s indemnity cover
    • name of the insurer and policy holder
    • Policy number and expiry date
    • list "Knox City Council" as an interested party.
  • WorkSafe fireworks discharge notification (PDF)
  • Letter or plan to notify surrounding properties (PDF).
