Permit for Council and Community event signage

Before you start

This form relates to temporary signage placed in the prominent locations to promote a Council or community event such as festivals, school fetes and Christmas carols.

A promotional sign for an event which is to occur at a specific time of the year (by way of example but not limited to, a specific date, a month or months, or a season) must not be displayed for more than six weeks before the event and must be removed within 48 hours after the date on which the event takes place.

What you will need

  • 5-10 minutes to complete this form. You cannot save progress once you start.
  • Public Liability Insurance certificate (PDF) that shows:
    • at least $20 million coverage, including principal’s indemnity cover
    • name of the insurer and policy holder
    • Policy number and expiry date
    • list "Knox City Council" as an interested party.
