Kings Park Masterplan
The Kings Park Masterplan is a long-term vision for the future development of Kings Park. It was developed with input from community and was endorsed by Council in November 2023.
The masterplan identifies possible site improvements and facility upgrades and guides our decisions about how to meet the needs the community into the future.

Basketball court and picnic facilities
This upgrade is a key initiative of the Kings Park Masterplan to create more opportunities for recreation and social connection.
This includes a new:
- multi‑use half court for casual basketball
- picnic area under the existing trees with a built‑in BBQ and picnic tables.
Parking bay availability may be impacted for short periods. The rest of the park will remain open and accessible throughout construction.
Works are expected between April and August 2026.
