- Join the Environment Advisory Committee
Applications are now open for individuals passionate about the environment and sustainability. If you have a background or interest in these areas, consider joining the Environment Advisory Committee to help shape a sustainable future for Knox. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community.
As an Environmental Advisory Committee member, you will:
• provide feedback and advice on environmental sustainability e.g. transportation and natural resource management
• provide input on behalf of the community and community organisations
• actively support Council’s consultation and advocacy initiatives to the broader community
• establish working groups and sub committees as needed
• monitor and review environmental and sustainability matters in Knox
• advocate to Council for the benefit of the Knox environment
• assist Council in determining priority activities and annual objectives
To nominate for the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC), you must be:
• over 18 years old
• a Knox resident or represent a Knox-based business or community group
• passionate about creating a sustainable Knox community and/or working or studying in sustainability or environmental management
• interested in local environmental issues such as climate change, transport, waste or natural resources.
Committee members must attend 6 meetings per year over 2 years.
Submit your application by 11 pm Sunday 1 December 2024.
