Opening
The new Bayswater Library will open in mid-2025.
The current Bayswater Library, also located in Mountain High Shopping Centre, will remain open until the new space is ready.
There will be a 1-week closure so we can move books and equipment between spaces. During this time our other libraries in Knox will remain open.
About the upgrade
Bayswater Library will relocate to a new purpose-built space tailored to community needs. The new library will feature:
- a 55% increase in floorspace
- 2 bookable meeting rooms
- 2 community rooms with a flexible diving wall, accommodating up to 40 people
- a dedicated gaming area
- an accessible toilet with a baby change facility.
The new space will be brighter and more modern, with the interior design inspired by the natural environment.

The Bayswater Library will be located at Mountain High Shopping Centre, 7-13 High Street, Bayswater.
