About Stagescape
Knox Stagescape is a dynamic, multi-night event at the Knox Community Arts Centre (KCAC) in Bayswater, celebrating the creativity and talent of local artists and the community.
Over six evenings in April, different performing arts will take centre stage, offering artists the chance to:
- perform
- connect with new members
- share their talent
The event ends with a vibrant variety show on the final night.
This event aims to
- Give local community groups a chance to share their art, perform on stage, connect with new members, and raise awareness.
- Make the Knox Community Arts Centre a lively hub for performing arts and bring in new audiences.
- Create opportunities for partnerships between the Council, artists, and community groups.
- Celebrate 50 years of the Knox Community Arts Centre.
Event format
- Two weeks of performances: Shows will run over three consecutive nights each week.
- Spotlight on different art forms: Each night will focus on a specific performing art, such as music, dance, theatre, or spoken word.
- Final night variety show: Saturday evening will feature a mix of performers from all art forms.
- Duration: Performances will run for approximately 60–90 minutes each night, with the variety show possibly running up to 120 minutes.
- Performance time: Each artist or group will have 5–10 minutes to perform.
A selection panel will review all submissions to create the lineup for each show.
Support provided by Knox City Council
The Knox Community Arts Centre (KCAC) will provide the following:
- Venue hire charges
- Staffing, including technical support, box office staff and ushers
- Audio-visual (AV) and Lighting (LX) equipment as per the KCAC technical specifications
- Marketing support to promote the event
Tickets will be sold for a nominal fee to help offset event costs.

Please submit an EOI to register your interest.
Submissions are reviewed by a panel using a weighted matrix in line with the project objectives.
Follow up information may be requested by the panel to help inform the assessment.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission by e-mail.
