Learn how to compost at home

Learn how composting at home can save you money, help your garden thrive, and reduce food waste going to landfill.

Come along to a free compost workshop being held as part of International Compost Awareness Week on Wednesday, 7 May at Rowville Library.

Composting is the traditional method of breaking organic matter down into nutrient-rich soil conditioner.  The finished product improves soil structure and makes the perfect platform for growing plants, especially fruits and vegetables. Using compost can increase your crop yields without the need for adding synthetic chemicals or expensive fertilisers.

The workshop will explain Knox City Council’s composting rebate and the discounted composting systems available.
