Celebrate Knox Factor's 10th anniversary
Knox Factor is an exciting opportunity to showcase your singing talent in front of judges and a live audience.
Knox Factor is open to aspiring singers who live, study, work, or play in Knox. We welcome participants from all vocal styles, music genres and skill levels.
Applicants can apply in the following age categories:
- 5 – 11 years
- 12 – 15 years
- 16 – 20 years
- 21+ years.
The Knox Factor Grand Final will take place on Thursday 9 October 2025 at Knox Community Arts Centre, Bayswater.
What to expect
Successful applicants are in the running for:
- Professional mentoring in vocal technique, song choice and stage performance as well as industry marketing, building online presence, and making meaningful connections with industry specialists
- Prizes awarded in each category, and will include a mix of studio recording time, awesome music gear and professional coaching sessions
- Local music and arts networking opportunities and exposure to the industry

How to apply
To apply for Knox Factor, you are required to:
- Record a live audition video – no amplification, microphones, or post recording editing
- Your performance must be acapella or accompanied by one instrument or a backing track – no vocal backing or bands
- Audition videos should be uploaded to YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo or your social media account
- Complete the application form with the URL to your audition video – ensure the video is public or unlisted

| Thursday 21 August | Semi Final Successful singers will perform live at the Knox Community Arts Centre to an audience and panel of judges. |
| Tuesday 23 September | Industry mentoring session |
| Thursday 9 October | Grand Final Successful singers will perform live at Knox Carols by Candlelight to an audience and panel of judges. |
| Saturday 13 December | Performance opportunities for Knox Carols 2025 (pre-show). Wally Tew Reserve, Ferntree Gully |
All mentoring sessions and finals will be held at Knox Community Arts Centre, Bayswater.
Judging
Our judges come with outstanding resumes in vocal and music performance. Their decisions are final, and scoring is largely dedicated to vocal technique, with some points also awarded for performance and entertainment value.
