Night Parrots

Night Parrots by Chalk River Labs is an award-winning projection sculpture of a parrot sheltering a fellow parrot with its wing. The two-metre tall, fibreglass sculpture comes to life through a vibrant kaleidoscopic animation of projection mapped, hypnotic colour. Inspired by the ground-dwelling, nocturnal Australian species once believed extinct, Night Parrots celebrates the resilience of nature.

  • Friday 28 June to Sunday 7 July
  • Projection shows between 5:00 pm and 9:30 pm
  • Knox Ozone, 509 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South
  • Supported by Westfield Knox.

Yomeci Fields activation

Yomeci Fields is a sound-based interactive artwork where colourful chalk drawings reimagine everyday footpaths into playable spaces. A chalk track will be drawn onto a footpath, similar to a hopscotch course, where passersby can interact with the track. As players interact with the drawings, audio compositions and tunes are activated ‘following’ people’s movement.
