Reconnect with nature this World Environment Day

Together with the First Friends of Dandenong Creek and the Rotary Club of Bayswater, we invite you to celebrate World Environment Day 2022 this Saturday 4 June.

Take this opportunity to reconnect with nature by helping to plant over 4,000 indigenous plants which will help improve water quality along the Dandenong Creek and provide important habitat for local wildlife.

The day will start with a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony from Wurundjeri.

Our Biodiversity officers will be on site to give advice and take guided nature walks to discover the unique biodiversity Knox has to offer. Remember to download the iNaturalist app on your phone to help record any interesting animals or plants you see on the day.

The Rotary Club of Bayswater will be providing a free sausage sizzle.

When: Saturday 4 June 2022, 10:00am – 12:00noon

Where: Dandenong Creek - at the end of Armstrong Street, Bayswater

Parking: Park in Armstrong Street, Bayswater and follow the signs along the shared path down to the creek

Hosted by First Friends of Dandenong Creek and the Rotary Club of Bayswater, and proudly supported by Knox City Council.

Everyone is welcome. Please register your interest on the Facebook event
