- Council Elections Coming Soon
In October you will be voting to elect councillors to represent the Knox community. Look out for your ballot pack in the mail from 7 October.
The election will be held by postal vote only. Make your vote count and post your ballot before 6pm, 25 October 2024.
The list of candidates is available on the VEC website.
Elected councillors will represent our community for the next 4 years. Councillors have an influential leadership role and they are responsible for making decisions that support community values, vision and needs.
Knox is divided into 9 wards (See map below): Baird, Chandler, Collier, Dinsdale, Dobson, Friberg, Scott, Taylor and Tirhatuan.
A total of 9 councillors will be elected, with one councillor representing each ward.
Voting is compulsory for all enrolled voters, and each voter has one vote in Knox.
If you do not receive a ballot pack in the mail by 15 October, please contact the VEC on 13 18 32.
If you are going to be away from 7 October 2024 until close of voting on 25 October, or have queries about voting contact the VEC on 13 18 32 or check the VEC website for more information.
Election results will be declared in November on the VEC website.
