- $380,500 Announced For Local Community Groups
The annual Community Development Fund (CDF) Program provides grants of up to $20,000 to not-for-profit organisations in Knox for one-off activities, projects or equipment purchases, as well as supporting community events that meet the eligibility criteria.
This year, a total of 49 grants were awarded under the 2023/24 round last week, with a total of $380,547 in funding across a range of community-led initiatives, projects and equipment.
Successful organisations included sporting clubs, welfare services, multicultural groups, community houses, environmental groups and many more. Recipients will be delivering their projects over the coming year.
Across the last five years, the CDF has supported a total of 297 successful applicants, with over $1.8M in funding. The program aims to develop, enhance and support the involvement of community groups in activities and projects that respond to needs in the Knox community.
The next round of applications for the 2024/25 CDF Program will open on 1 April 2024.
