- Education Webinars For Parents and Carers
This month, we will be hosting two free webinars for parents, carers and educators.
The first webinar will take place on Tuesday 19 July from 7:00pm – 8:30pm via Zoom and be focused on school transition. Presented by Clinical and Educational Psychologist, Sonia Prescott, the webinar will cover:
- Choosing the right school for your child
- Questions to ask when visiting prospective schools
- Strategies to help prepare your child for change – including managing anxiety
- What to expect when starting a new school
Our second webinar will be targeted to parents, carers and educators of those with neurodivergent children.
Taking place on Tuesday 26 July from 7:00pm – 8:30pm, the webinar will be presented by registered Counsellor, Kristie McMaster.
Kristie will discuss the importance of social skills for neurodivergent children and strategies to help support your child in building self-esteem, a sense of identity, belonging and overall mental health.
Kristie will also be available and open to any additional questions parents, carers and / or educators may have that she’s able to assist with.
