- Events For Carers In Knox
During Carers Week (16-22 October) we are running free events for carers who provide unpaid care to family members or friends.
Events include stress management, morning teas, meditation, crafts, cooking demonstrations, yoga, and mindfulness and compassion workshops.
If you provide unpaid care for a family member or friend that has a disability, chronic condition, terminal illness, is frail aged, has a mental health illness, or alcohol or other drug related issue, you are a carer. Come along and enjoy some you time, get creative and connect with other carers.
During Carers Week, we recognise and celebrate the 17,000 Knox residents who provide care and support to a family member or friend. You make an enormous contribution to our community and you are an important part of our health, aged, disability, palliative and community care systems.
You can find out more about Carers Week events here.
Support is available for carers. You can find out more about support for carers in Knox here.
