- Go Solar and Save
Over the past 15 months, we have helped 19 households in Knox transition to solar through our Solar Savers program.
Solar Savers is a local government initiative designed to make solar easy and affordable for Knox residents.
Installing a solar PV system will allow you to generate renewable energy for your home. This will effectively reduce your electricity bills, and future-proof your household against rising energy costs. In addition, solar will help you reduce your carbon footprint, tackle climate change, and build a cleaner and renewable future.
The Solar Savers team can help you through the entire solar journey, including assessing if solar is suitable for your home, estimating energy bill cost savings, quotation and installation. The program provides additional support for pension and low-income households.
Knox resident and retiree David, transitioned to solar after attending a Solar Savers seminar with his wife last year.
“You read a lot in the papers about shonky operators who don’t install properly and they never work and cost you a lot of money,” he said.
“But working with Council, I felt confident. Solar Savers really gave us the leg up to make the decision and do it.”
We are hosting two Solar Savers webinars in October. Come along to find out how this program can help you switch to solar, and have your queries answered by the Solar Savers team and eko energy, the solar installer.
