- Confused Which Bin Goes Out?
The new food and garden bin service has started. Your green-lidded food and garden bin is now collected weekly. Your yellow-lidded household rubbish bin each fortnight. Your bin collection day is still the same.
Your blue-lidded recycling bin and bundled green waste service will remain unchanged. The bundled green waste service is on the same week as your household rubbish bin.
We have a two-week cycle to cover all the houses in Knox. The 2023/24 calendar included with your information kit has both weeks listed. You need to check the map on the back of the calendar to find which week your house fits into.
The new Find My Bin Days lookup tool is a quick and easy way to check which week you fit into. It does this for you when you enter your address.
Using the Find my bin days tool.
1. Visit knox.vic.gov.au/FindMyBinDays
2. Enter your street address
3. Select the Search button
4. Get detail of the upcoming collection weeks for each of your bins
You can check the date on the paper calendar and see whether it is Week 1 or Week 2 and then refer to that week going forward.
