- A Journey To Freedom
Knox is a proud Refugee Welcome Zone (an initiative by the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA)) and continues to be a new home for many who arrive in Melbourne. The Knox CARES Strategy 2022-2027, continues to support those who have made the difficult journey to Australia. Over the last 10 years, Knox has welcomed 440 humanitarian/refugee arrivals to our community.
This year's focus is on family displacement and the profound journey of resilience, strength and unity that defines the refugee experience. As a community let’s celebrate refugee resilience and success, understand their journeys and support them unconditionally.
