Volunteers are a crucial resource for community organisations. To develop or improve your existing volunteer programs the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement will be used as a framework to help you successfully recruit, retain and recognise the important contribution volunteers make, leading to longer retention rates and a healthy culture.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand successful recruitment and retention
  • Develop comprehensive recruitment channels to attract a variety of demographics
  • Understand volunteer motivations and how to manage volunteer expectations
  • Develop systems to recognise the contribution of volunteers.
