Free mental health and wellbeing community session

Our mental health impacts every aspect of our lives – and in turn, every aspect of our lives impacts our mental health.

Knox’s Sporting Club Mental Health Awareness Program, developed in response to the needs raised by the COVID-19 pandemic, aims to provide support and education surrounding mental health through local sporting clubs within the Knox community.

We will be hosting a free session on Wednesday 26 October at the Knox Civic Centre from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm for anyone involved in a sporting club in Knox, discussing mental health, with content supplied directly by Headspace - one of Australia’s leaders in mental health.

Delivered by Leisure Networks, the session will cover:

  • The connection between community sport and mental health

  • How to build a supportive club culture

  • How to look after yourself and others

  • Who, where and when to reach out to for help
