- Information For Election Candidates
The Victorian Local Governance Association (VLGA) is hosting a free seminar on 17 May, to help community members learn more about being a candidate in this year’s council elections.
Knox City Council needs strong and diverse leadership to represent our community. If you are a community leader or feel ready to take on an influential leadership role, consider becoming a candidate in this year’s Council elections.
Deciding whether or not to stand for council can be a daunting decision. To encourage a diverse range of candidates for the 2024 council elections, VLGA is hosting a free online seminar to give insight into the role and responsibilities of a councillor, and local government.
You will hear from those with extensive experience in local government, and discover more about representing your community.
Registration is essential. Find out more on the VLGA website.
Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) is also running candidate information sessions across Victoria, between May to August 2024. View details on the MAV Stand for Council webpage.
