- Stand For Council
The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) is running candidate information sessions to encourage more women, First Nations people and young people to run in this year’s Council elections.
Knox Council needs strong and diverse leadership to represent our community.
If you are a community leader or feel ready to take on an influential leadership role, consider standing for Council this year.
The MAV is hosting information sessions to help increase participation and representation from these groups within local government.
The information sessions are hybrid or online. Registration is essential.
First Nations x Stand for Council information session (hybrid)
Date: Thursday 30 May
Time: 6:30 – 8:00pm
Location: City of Greater Shepparton Civic Centre, 90 Welsford St, Shepparton
Young people x Stand for Council information session (online)
Date: Tuesday 4 June
Time: 6:00 – 7:30pm
Women x Stand for Council information session (hybrid)
Date: Wednesday 26 June
Time: 6:30 - 8:30pm
Location: Kingston Council Civic Centre, 1230 Nepean Highway Cheltenham
