- Support For Fathers and Father-figures
Calling all local dads and father-figures!
The Support for Fathers project is excited to invite you to a free workshop aimed at shedding light on managing and improving mental health.
Scheduled for Wednesday 23 August, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Carrington Park Leisure Centre, the workshop seeks to equip fathers and father-figures with valuable insights and tools to navigate the intricate terrain of mental wellbeing as a parent.
Parenthood, while a rewarding experience, can also bring its fair share of challenges and uncertainties. In the hustle and bustle of daily life, dads often leave little room for self-care and introspection. This workshop is designed to empower fathers to take proactive steps towards nurturing their own mental health.
The workshop will cover:
-
Nurturing healthy relationships and mental health
-
Deconstructing mental health challenges
-
Perinatal depression and anxiety
-
Practical self-care techniques and available support
The Support for Fathers project has collaborated with local mental health experts and professionals to curate an enriching experience that combines knowledge sharing with interactive sessions. Participants can expect engaging discussions, experiential activities, and the chance to connect with other dads facing similar challenges.
