- Voting In Council Elections
Make your vote count in the Knox Council election and post your ballot before 6pm, 25 October 2024.
Enrolled voters will receive a ballot pack in the mail from the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) in October.
If you have not received your ballot pack by now, contact the VEC online, phone 131 832 or visit the election office at 4 Mossfield Avenue, Ferntree Gully during office hours to request a replacement ballot pack.
Your vote is important because you are electing councillors to represent the Knox community for the next four years. Councillors have an influential leadership role and they are responsible for making decisions that support community values, vision and needs.
The list of candidates is available on the VEC website.
Knox is divided into 9 wards (See map below): Baird, Chandler, Collier, Dinsdale, Dobson, Friberg, Scott, Taylor and Tirhatuan.
A total of 9 councillors will be elected, with one councillor representing each ward. To find your council ward, visit the VEC website.
The Knox Council election will be held by postal vote only.
Voting is compulsory for all enrolled voters, and each voter has one vote in Knox. If you do not vote, you may be fined.
If you are going to be away until close of voting on 25 October, or have queries about voting contact the VEC on 13 18 32 or check the VEC website for more information.
Election results will be declared by Friday 15 November on the VEC website.
