Move Your Way - Activities for Seniors and Carers
Activities for seniors and carers including group exercise classes, walking netball, karate, yoga, dance, and walking. Come and join an activity where you can meet others while being active.

Our seniors' champions will guide participants around the equipment to try out.

Walk in and play walking netball
Walk in and play a program of modified netball where no running or jumping is permitted for adults.
Hosted by Mountain District Netball Association at Knox Regional Netball Centre, 9 Dempster Street, Ferntree Gully.

Seniors Karate
Seniors' classes welcome adults aged 16+ years of all fitness levels, grades, and abilities to learn karate in a supportive environment.
Hosted by Golden Cobra Martial Arts, 85 Station Street, Ferntree Gully.

- Monday 24 February, 7:45-9:15 pm.
Carers exercise class
These sessions are run by a qualified instructor at Knox Leisureworks and provides an opportunity to make new connections with others who care for a family member who lives with a disability or mental illness, while building your strength and fitness in the gym.

Rowville pathway for carers walk
Group of carers meet for an easy flat walk, return for a drink and listen to a guest speaker talk about support for carers.
Hosted at The Butler's Pantry, 4/1090 Wellington Road, Rowville.

Yoga
Mat and chair yoga including breathing exercises.
Hosted by Indian Senior Citizens Association of Victoria (ISCA) at 16/18 Kingsley Close, Rowville.

Line dancing taster workshop for beginners
Join us for a fun and lively line dancing workshop aimed towards beginner adults and seniors alike.
Presented by Community Learning Centre, at Rowville Community Centre, 40 Fullham Road, Rowville.

Disc golf - cancelled
Disc Golf involves throwing the disc (like a frisbee) towards a metal basket. At this come-and-try session for ages 6+ years, you will be shown how to hold, throw and 'putt' before trying out the Disc Golf course.
Hosted at Gateshead Reserve, Gateshead Drive, Wantirna South.

Unfortunately, disc golf has been cancelled. Apologies for an inconvenience.
Additional information
What to wear: Whatever you feel comfortable in, but we recommend loose-fitting clothes or gym gear and bringing a drink bottle.
For beginners: Beginners are welcome! However, it’s advisable to consult your GP before starting a new exercise program.
Venue accessibility
Please note that not all venues are wheelchair and pram accessible due to limited paved paths in some reserves.
