- Cancelled: Knox Apprenticeship and Careers Night
Update 28 August 2024 at 5.45pm: due to a power outage at the venue, this event has been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience.
We are inviting young people to explore exciting training and career opportunities at our Knox Apprenticeship and Careers Night on 28 August.
This event has been designed to help young people aged 15-25 kickstart their careers. Students, recent graduates, or those seeking a new career path are encouraged to come along.
Over 20 exhibitors including local employers and volunteer organisations will be at the event. This is a great chance to meet potential employers, discuss opportunities and get valuable career advice.
Exhibitors include:
- Interchange Outer East, disability support service
- Puffing Billy Railways, a major tourist attraction in Dandenong Ranges
- CIRE Training, a training provider
- Australian Unity Walmsley Aged Care, an aged care residence
- Masta Scaffold Melbourne, a scaffolding solutions business
- Defence Civilian Force, an area in the Australian Government Department of Defence
- Knox City Council, local government
- Swinburne University of Technology, an education and training provider
Experts will also be available to provide advice on resume writing, interviewing skills, and finding apprenticeships.
We have partnered with Outer Eastern Local Learning and Employment Network organise this event.
Over 100 people attended last year’s event. Make a stop at our Knox City Council stand to discover the training and career pathways local government offers.
Enjoy free hot beverages and fun giveaways at the event. We look forward to seeing you there.
