- National Carers Week In Knox
During Carers Week (15-21 October 2023), we invite carers in Knox to come along and connect with other carers through a range of free activities taking place.
There are 17,000 Knox residents who provide care and support to a family member or friend. This Carers Week, we recognise and acknowledge the work they do each day in providing unpaid care to people who are living with a disability, frail aged, living with mental illness and living with an ongoing medical condition.
The aim of the activities taking place in Carers Week are to support carers to connect with other carers and discover the different ongoing opportunities available in Knox.
Events include a relaxation and wellbeing workshop, make a macramé wall hanging, family relationship support information support, carers exercise class, rock painting, soap making, de-stress with a Bollywood style delight and carer walks.
For more information on the ongoing support available for carers visit here.
