- Photography Workshops For Young People
Young people are invited to come along to photography workshops in August to learn how to take amazing photos with your phone or DSLR camera.
These workshops will be an opportunity to explore your creativity and help show you how to make the most of your phone or camera. The workshops will cover different types of angles, lighting techniques and some camera / phone tips and tricks.
The workshops are for young people aged 10-25 years old who live, work, study or have a connection to Knox.
When: Tuesday 13 and 20 August
Time: 4pm – 5.30pm
Where: Youth Hive at Knox Library, Westfield Knox, Level 3 (above Rebel Sport), 425 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South
Cost: FREE
To book a place, or for further information contact Kate on [email protected] or phone 9298 8000.
Beyond the Frame 2024
Young people who take photos at the workshops are invited to submit these to Beyond the Frame 2024 – a youth photography, digital art and media competition.
The aim of the competition is to provide a platform for young people to showcase their talents and unique perspectives.
The competition is open to young people aged between 10 -25 who live, work, study or have a connection to Knox, with three age categories for entries: 10-13, 14-18, 19-25 years. Prizes are awarded to first and second place winners for each age category, $200 and $100 gift vouchers respectively.
All eligible images entered will be projected at the Youth Hive during Youth Festival in September 2024.
