Aims of the policy
The policy is designed to assist Council in:
- determining planning permits for gaming venues and electronic gaming machines in Knox
- minimising harm in the community arising from the use of electronic gaming machines.
Scope of the policy
In addition to Council, the policy applies to:
- operators of clubs and hotels in Knox with electronic gaming machines
- individuals, families and community in Knox who are affected by gambling on electronic gaming machines.
