- feedback from our community
- guiding principles of waste management
- legislation, policies and regulations
- key directions from Council and Community Plans
- shared responsibility for waste management
- challenges and opportunities.

Take action: Read the full Knox Waste and Resource Strategy to learn how you can help reduce waste in our community.
A separate Implementation Plan details specific actions, timelines, resources and delivery partners to achieve our aims and targets.
We will:
- check progress towards targets annually
- review the status of each action in the Implementation Plan
- revise and update the Implementation Plan if needed
- report progress to the community annually.
