Knox is a multicultural city
In Knox, we value all cultures and backgrounds. Our community is made up of people from over 130 different countries.
- 33.1 per cent of our residents were born overseas
- 28.7 per cent of our residents speak a language other than English at home
Rich cultural diversity is part of why Knox is such a great place to live.
Multicultural events
We celebrate Cultural Diversity Week in March every year.
It brings together the community and celebrates our vibrant culture.
Knox also runs regular events for our community. There is something for everyone in our events calendar.
Knox Multicultural Directory
The Knox Multicultural Directory is a fantastic guide for all residents.
It helps:
- connect service providers and citizens
- local migrants and refugees find support services and groups
- share information about cultural diversity.
