Youth Services Programs at the Hive

Youth Hive

The Youth Hive is a dedicated space in the Knox Library for young people aged 10-25 years.  Knox City Council Youth Workers are present 2-5pm weekdays if you need information and support.  

The space offers a place to relax, study, play, connect and join in the programs or activities.

Weekdays

  • 2 pm to 5 pm
  • Term 3: Monday - Friday
  • Suitable for people aged between 10 - 25 years old
  • Cost: FREE
  • No booking required
Knox Youth Art Group

Are you passionate about art?

Looking for a place to let your creativity spark and meet like-minded people, share ideas, and collaborate on exciting projects?

Come and join the Knox Youth Art Group.

Tuesdays (fortnightly)

  • 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm
  • Term 3 dates:

  • Suitable for people aged between 14 - 25 years old

Study Bees

Need a quiet place to study?

Come and join us in the Study Bees Chill Zone.

Our program room will be set up to facilitate quiet individual or group study.

Get some homework done and grab a snack and hot drink on us!

No bookings required.

  • Term 3: Wednesday 17 July to Wednesday 18 September
  • Suitable for people aged between 15 - 25 years old

Dungeons and Dragons

Join us to play this popular role-playing game.

Explore a world and take on an adventure! 

Our game is designed to welcome new/beginner players. 

All resources and materials will be supplied - the only thing you need to bring is your imagination and sense of fun.

Thursdays

  • 4:30 pm to 6 pm
  • This activity is full. Please join the waiting list
  • Suitable for people aged between 10 - 25 years old
  • Cost: FREE

Games are organised when there are enough people to form a group.

Crafternoons at the Hive

Do you love to craft?

Looking for a place where you can come and hang out with others?

Come and join us for our fortnightly Friday Crafternoons at the Hive!

Bring your own craft project (e.g. crochet, knitting or other easily transportable craft).
If you like to learn to crochet, we can teach you. Crochet supplies will be available.

Join us for the full 2 hours, or just drop-in when you can!

Come and join us at the Hive for our fortnightly games afternoon. We will have a range of games and jigsaws available to use.

Drop-in with a group of friends or come along to make some new friends.
