About the policy
The Policy also provides guidance and an opportunity for residents to apply for a permit (free of charge) to plant out their nature strip to:
- cool the local suburban landscape
- provide enhanced biodiversity and habitat for local fauna and fauna
- contribute to the 'green and leafy’ street character.
Council developed the Knox Green Streets Policy after it endorsed the:
- Knox Liveable Streets Plan (2012-2022)
- review of the Knox Streetscape Policy (2003).
The Knox Streetscape Policy is now known as the Knox Green Streets Policy.
