Knox Park Athletics Centre in Knoxfield features a newly upgraded athletics track, LED lighting, and top-class facilities for athletics, triathlons, and fitness. Home to local clubs, it offers training, competitions, and community events for all ages and abilities.

About the Centre

The Knox Park Athletics Centre is a place for people of all ages and abilities to explore their fitness and improve their health.

The athletics track is open to the public whenever scheduled athletics events, maintenance and mowing is not being undertaken.

The turnstile gate is accessible 5am to 9pm every day.

Completed in 2025, Knox Park Athletics Centre underwent a $5.1 million upgrade. Works included:

track resurfacing
infield upgrades
footpath upgrades
LED lighting installations
additional shade
a new scoreboard.

The Victorian Government contributed $250,000 towards the redevelopment and Athletics Knox and Knox Athletic Club contributed $110,000.

Knox Athletics Club

Knox Athletics Club hosts fun runs and general health and fitness activities for associate members.

Competitive members can develop skills for on and off-track events.

With top-class facilities and coaching services available, you'll be part of a fun and like-minded community.

Knox Little Athletics Centre

The Knox Little Athletics Centre runs:

Track and field

The season runs from October to April. All normal competition meets are held at Knox Park.

Saturday competition starts at 8:30am and twilight meets start at 6pm.

Cross country

The cross-country season runs from April to August each year. We meet at various locations around Knox.

Athletes run a distance based on their age group. Parents also get to run a couple of times during the season.

Competitions are held on Saturdays at 9am and usually finish by 11am.

Knox Masters Athletics

Knox Masters Athletics is a friendly and supportive club for people of all ages and abilities.

Events run every Wednesday evening at Knox Athletics Track.

Events are designed for everyone to join at a fair and equal level, regardless of age or speed.

Knox Triathlon Club

Knox Triathlon Club helps people train for triathlons and improve on fitness.

Yarra Ranges Umpires Association

The Yarra Ranges Umpires Association provides umpires to the AFL Outer East Football League across all disciplines.

Their field, boundary and goal umpires officiate every weekend in men’s, women’s, junior boys and junior girls competitions.
